Your adventure begins at the front desk, where you’ll receive your game tablet and magical torch — two essential tools for exploring the realms. The clerk will give you a brief orientation to explain how the game works and how to use your equipment, so you’ll be ready to dive in with confidence.
Your tablet is your connection to the world around you. Here’s how everything is laid out on your screen:
Upper Left Corner: Tracks your remaining time and your Glimmers (in-game currency)
Bottom Left Corner: Contains the control buttons used for gameplay actions
Bottom Right Corner: Shows your Alignment, reflecting whether your choices lean toward order or chaos
Top Right Corner: The map and help button, two places where you can find help if you get stuck.
The more time you take to understand the tablet, the better your game will be!
The first room you come to is called the crossroads. From there, you can enter any of the four realms: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. Pick which doorway you want to enter first and walk through. Don’t stress about picking “the right one” — over the course of your adventure, you’ll travel through all of them as your story unfolds.
Each realm is filled with unique creatures who need your help. Characters offering side quests will have tablets in front of them. Each side quest is different, the screen will show its difficulty and how long it will take. Tap the tablet to hear their story and learn what they need.
If at any time you get stuck or confused there are two great resources. The first is the map button (located in the upper right-hand corner of your tablet). Check it often until you get familiar with the realms.
You can also find help at two different locations in the game: at the Great Hall in Delzar’s castle, a guard awaits with clues, helpful hints, and side quests of their own! Or, you can stop at the snack bar in Oak Hollow for refreshment and a few good tips from the clerk at the counter.
After starting a quest, pay close attention to what the character tells you. Their dialogue contains important story clues, background context, and clear objectives. They might direct you to meet another character, locate a hidden object, or uncover a secret. Listening carefully is the key to success.
